Universal Electronics Wins Emmy® Award for Voice Control Innovation and Creativity

UEI’s Voice Technology Helps Revolutionize the TV Viewing Experience

SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 6, 2017-- Universal Electronics Inc. (UEI) (Nasdaq:UEIC),the worldwide leader in universal control and sensing technologies for the smart home,has been awarded a 2017 Technology & Engineering Achievement Emmy® Award from The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) for its work relating to voice navigation technologies for discovering and interacting with TV content. UEI was selected for its excellence in engineering and creativity that has materially affected the television viewing experience.

The award will be presented at the 69th annual Technology & Engineering Achievement Emmy® Awards ceremony on April 8, 2018 in partnership with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference in Las Vegas, NV. The honor will be shared with Comcast, Apple TV, and Nuance Dragon TV for their individual contributions to voice control technologies.
