(UEI) (Nasdaq:UEIC) today announced that Comcast has chosen UEI as the key supplier of their latest voice remote from XFINITY, an advanced voice remote platform for XFINITY services. A recent agreement extends and expands the supply of remote controls, remote control technology, and associated products and services to Comcast over the term of the agreement.

Comcast and its XFINITY brand have become well known for leadership in advanced technology and user enhancements for home services. UEI is supplying the latest voice remote platform as the premier universal remote in the XFINITY lineup, as well as other universal remotes and accessories.

The new voice remote from XFINITY is loaded with advanced design features:

• Voice control that lets you find what you want faster – using voice commands to change channels, search for shows or favorite actors, get recommendations, and more
• Embedded Zigbee RF4CE for low power use and reliable performance across all XFINITY services
• Over-the-air firmware updates for the latest device codes and software upgrades
• Easy pairing with a set-top box for easy home setup
